AMERICAN VENUS - This new DeepWater body-cast Installation reflects on the historical ideal of Venus and its effect on the Western perception of womanhood -- but with a twist. It raises the bar on beauty and speaks about this mythic ideal as she was before Botticelli  - and as she is now -  the potent and deeply compassionate female leader in the community.

This is the fourth large-scale DeepWater project by Katherine Zsolt and her collaborators /muses. Through the creation and exhibition of these contemporary grottos, which have been called "breathtaking" by one critic, the artist is passionately generating awareness of the changing human condition.
